Tell us about your business

Global QI is a digital catalogue designed to cut through the noise. It’s a home for good businesses doing good work, who want to be seen without having to shout. I serve small and medium business owners, creatives, entrepreneurs, and community-minded humans who are tired of the hustle and hype. They’re not chasing the spotlight. They’re looking for genuine reach, the kind that lands with care and intention.

Each week, I curate a selection of offers from across the globe and place them in front of an audience that values substance over spin. No algorithms. No endless scrolling. No data harvesting. Just a clean, clear catalogue, delivered straight to inboxes, where every product or service is handpicked and shared with trust.

What makes it matter is this: when someone advertises in Global QI, they’re not just getting exposure. They’re joining a movement that believes business can be more human. More thoughtful. More generous. It’s about showing up, being visible, and contributing to a ripple that lifts others while lifting yourself.


What inspired you to start your business or say yes to this path?

My ‘yes’ didn’t come from a single moment. It came from years of observing how businesses try to be seen and how exhausting that whole game has become. I’ve watched goods and services marketed in just about every way imaginable. Through the letterbox. In school newsletters and local footy budgets. On pamphlets handed out on street corners. In the local paper. On TV. Plastered across trucks, buses, and billboards. Then there’s the ever-changing world of Facebook and Instagram, quietly favouring those with the biggest budgets.

I found myself thinking, surely there must be a better way. A way that gives a voice to those who feel invisible in the online world. A way that doesn’t require people to throw time, energy, and money into platforms that feel more draining than rewarding. I started to see the bigger picture. The digital marketplace has become flooded. The endless scroll. The constant pop-ups. The decision fatigue. It started to look less like a community and more like a noisy ant colony of content.

So I decided to stop the overwhelm. Global QI offers simplicity. Only six offers per category. Just enough to provide choice without tipping anyone into analysis paralysis.

Right now, too many people are spending far too long trying to find the best deal. Trawling through site after site. Relying on someone else’s idea of what SEO should serve up for them. All the while, their cortisol is quietly rising.

What if we stopped searching? What if we trusted? Trusted that the right product or service will land in our inbox at just the right time. Trusted that what’s delivered through Global QI is genuinely helpful, human, and fair. Trusted that one carefully curated edition each week is enough.

That is the vision that pulled me forward. A new way to be visible. A new way to be found. And a gentler, more human way to do business.


What do you feel makes your business meaningful or unique?

Global QI is meaningful because it’s not trying to be everything to everyone. It is small on purpose. Thoughtfully curated. Calm in a cluttered world. The magic lies in its restraint. Just six offers per category. No competition for attention. No shouting to be heard. This is space, not noise.

What makes it unique is how it flows. Each edition is shared by the people who feature in it, through their email lists, their business communities, and their word of mouth. It’s visibility powered by people, not platforms. That means the impact travels further and feels warmer. It builds connection, not just clicks.

At its core, Global QI is about trust. Trust that what’s in the catalogue is worthy. Trust that there’s enough. Trust that visibility doesn’t have to come at the cost of your peace of mind.


What’s one lesson or turning point that’s shaped your entrepreneurial journey?

In March 2022, my body made the decision for me. I was losing my hearing, my sight, and even the ability to chew or swallow properly. I could no longer bend down and touch my knees. My body was shouting. I finally began to listen.

The workplace I was in had become toxic to the point that it was physically breaking me down. It wasn’t sustainable. It wasn’t kind. It wasn’t aligned. I took leave, not as a pause, but as a turning point. A time to recover and to heal.

In the quiet that followed, I leaned in. I studied digital and organic marketing strategies. I enrolled in courses that opened my mind to new ways of working. I joined international business networks and surrounded myself with people who approached business differently. I listened. I observed. I slowly began to piece together a vision for something that felt whole and human.

That experience taught me that alignment isn’t a luxury. It’s essential. When your body and spirit are in conflict with your work, something has to give. And if you’re lucky, it becomes the wake-up call that leads you back to yourself.


Is there a moment in your business you’re especially proud of?

Absolutely. Edition 15 of Global QI will always hold a special place in my heart. It marked just six months into the journey, but five powerful milestones came together all at once. For the first time, someone advertised without ever having met me. That was the moment I knew word-of-mouth growth had truly kicked in. Global QI was moving beyond my direct circles. It was standing on its own.

A business reached out to share click-through data showing traffic to their website from Global QI. They were so pleased with the results that they set aside a budget for a front cover placement in their next marketing cycle. A charity shared that someone had offered to sponsor them after seeing their feature. Another business let me know they had made four sales from their listing in that same edition.

Hearing all of this in such a short window filled me with something bigger than pride. It was pure joy. I couldn’t sleep for a few nights. Not because I was anxious, but because I was genuinely bouncing with excitement. The ripple effect was no longer an idea. It was happening. People were being seen. Businesses were gaining traction. Charities were receiving support. And all of it was real.

That edition showed me what is possible when trust, visibility, and heart-led business come together. It reminded me that the work I’m doing matters. And that feeling has stayed with me ever since.


What advice would you give to a woman navigating a similar path?

Trust in your dream. Feel it from deep inside of you.


Coffee, tea, or smoothies—and what’s your go-to order?

Water. I am a water girl primarily. As a treat a fresh-pressed juice or perhaps an herbal tea on a cold day.


What song instantly lifts your mood or makes you feel like yourself again?

"I Am Woman" is one of many.


How do you start your mornings? Rituals, routines, or rhythms you love?

A fresh glass of room-temperature water, a walk outside in my pjs, and putting my contact lenses in are essential to a good day for me.


A book, podcast, or quote that’s impacted you recently

The sun will rise in the morning for a new start.


What does success currently look like or feel like to you?

It looks like the delighted smile on a person's face and the profound yes in their voice joining the movement of Global QI.


What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I like to drive tractors and other big farm machinery.
