Tell us about your business
Women Business Connect is a networking and empowerment platform dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs grow, connect, and thrive in their personal and professional lives. We serve women in business by providing workshops, resources, events, and opportunities to build confidence, skills, and meaningful collaborations.
4 Knowledge Is Power is a nonprofit organization focused on strengthening families and communities through education, leadership, and empowerment. We serve youth, couples, and families with programs ranging from college tours to marriage enrichment events, helping individuals build a legacy of knowledge and resilience. Our work matters because it uplifts underserved communities, promotes generational success, and encourages people to live with purpose and power.
What inspired you to start your business or say yes to this path?
For Women Business Connect, I was inspired by seeing so many talented women struggle to find mentorship, resources, and community to support their dreams. I wanted to create a safe, faith-based space where women could grow together and champion each other’s success.
For 4 Knowledge Is Power, I was inspired by my passion for education and community enrichment. I saw the impact that guidance, exposure, and encouragement could have on young people and families. I wanted to build a movement that helps break cycles of limitation and replaces them with opportunities and hope.
What do you feel makes your business meaningful or unique?
Women Business Connect is meaningful because it is rooted in authentic connection, collaboration, and sisterhood, empowering women to pursue their goals without fear or isolation. Its uniqueness comes from weaving together faith, leadership, and entrepreneurship under one umbrella.
4 Knowledge Is Power stands out because it serves the whole family, from youth to parents, with programs that build skills, character, and confidence. Our holistic approach and commitment to legacy-building make our mission deeply meaningful and impactful for generations to come.
What’s one lesson or turning point that’s shaped your entrepreneurial journey?
One powerful lesson that shaped my journey was realizing that community is everything. Building Women Business Connect and 4 Knowledge Is Power showed me that true impact comes from partnerships, collaboration, and uplifting others. It taught me that when you intentionally invest in relationships, you create opportunities for greater growth and transformation, both for yourself and for those you serve.
Is there a moment in your business you’re especially proud of?
I am especially proud of seeing our first group of students go on a historical Black college tour and later enroll in college. It confirmed the power of exposure and education.
Another proud moment was watching women at a Women Business Connect event openly share their stories and leave feeling more confident and supported. Those moments remind me why I do this work.
What advice would you give to a woman navigating a similar path?
Stay true to your purpose, trust your instincts, and never be afraid to ask for help or build partnerships. There will be challenges, but remember that your vision is valid and needed. Surround yourself with people who believe in you, and keep showing up. Your consistency will open doors you could never have imagined.
Coffee, tea, or smoothies — and what’s your go-to order?
Neither.
What song instantly lifts your mood or makes you feel like yourself again?
I Trust in God.
How do you start your mornings? Rituals, routines, or rhythms you love?
Depends on how I am feeling.
A book, podcast, or quote that’s impacted you recently?
Quotes.
What does success currently look like or feel like to you?
Right now, success feels like impact—seeing lives changed, families strengthened, and women empowered to rise with confidence.
Success also looks like balance: being able to serve my community while protecting my peace, my health, and my time with loved ones. It means living on purpose, not just chasing accomplishments.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
People might be surprised to learn that I am naturally an introvert who had to grow into confidently leading large groups and hosting events. Building these platforms pushed me far outside my comfort zone, but it has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
